One Tough Tigress...

On December 15th, 2008, I was involved -- as a pedestrian who was struck by a car-- in a hit-and-run automobile accident. I was crossing the street in a marked crosswalk with a green light and 'walk' sign when I was struck by a driver making a left-hand turn.

I saved myself serious injury by jumping onto the hood of the car-- my plan was to ride the hood until the car stopped moving-- but since the driver did not stop and I was unable to find a good enough hand-hold, I wound up rolling off the driver's side fender and into the street. My martial arts and dance training served me well, as I was able to fall and roll properly, but the impact of jumping onto the hood of the car caused a hairline plateau fracture of the right tibia. Since the car was still moving forward as I was rolling off the fender, I also sustained a metatarsal fracture in the left foot.

I also had a lot of internal bleeding in the right lower leg, so I wound up in the hospital for four days and then was in acute care rehab for twelve. I am finally well enough to be back home and to sit at the computer for a short period of time, so I am now able to post to my blog to explain what happened to me.

The story, as nasty as it is, has a good ending. First, I am expected to make a full recovery, although I am still facing a fair chunk of rehab for the muscles in my right lower leg. Second, the guy who hit me has been arrested and booked into the County jail for A) striking me while I was in a marked crosswalk, and B) for leaving the scene of the accident.

Something that is not so good is that the driver of the car who hit me was uninsured, so it looks like my own insurance company will have to cover my costs, but at least they have a person to go after thanks to a good samaritan at the scene who managed to get the license number of the car as it left the scene. There were also several witnesses who provided the police with such detailed information that they were able to effect the arrest of the driver the same day I was hit. My sincere and heartfelt thanks goes out to them.

So long story short, I am back-- very sore and very bruised and walking with cane at the moment, but I am back!

Peace,

T'Zairis

Thanks! I felt a lot of big cat healing energy towards the end of my stay in rehab. I was pretty much greased to the gills on pain meds the first week or so, and since I have absolutely no working brain cells when I am on Percocet, I was very happy when I was able to cut back on the stuff. After about five days in rehab, I was down to only 3 pills a day, and by the time I left there to go to my sister's house for a week, all I needed was some ibuprofen.

Now that I am back at home, I am doing well on Cat's Claw, mega-doses of Vitamin C, and ice packs.

Once I got off the heavy-duty pain meds, I was able to really tap into some serious healing vibes, and I know there were lots of people pulling good energy for me, because I could feel it. I had my first follow-up visit with the orthopedic doc this last Friday, and he said that he was super impressed with the healing rate on both fractures. He also told me that in another couple of weeks I ought to experience another big drop in the pain level, as 6 weeks is the magic number for bone-break re-calcification. However, I will not be able to drive for a full 8 weeks, as the muscles in my right leg are still very bruised internally, and I still have a sizable hematoma below and sightly to the inside of my right knee.

So now I am enduring some rather ouchy physical therapy, but I am hopeful that in two more weeks it won't be quite as hideous as it is at the moment. I am also extremely thankful I had no spinal cord/brain/internal organ injuries. While banged-up limbs are painful and rehab is aggravating, they will eventually mend.

I have also decided I need a t-shirt that reads 'I do my own stunt work'...

Peace,

Two words:

1 - Niacin

2 - Selenium

If your doctors are "hip," they'll agree.

Apart from scratching this driver's eyes out on the Astral, declawing and defanging him by legally attaching his future assets until he compensates you for the loss of yours, I am feeling my usual hissily beneficent self towards all beings, and have respectfully requested of the Buddha--when He is so kind as to let me off the rope after His meditation--to direct towards you more of that mushy-sounding love and healing your more-civilized fellow Felines are posting at your site. Me, I just want to poop on this bozo's face, and kick some sand over him.

I laughed so-o-o hard over your feline revenge! As soon as I am healed more I will probably be seeking some legal advice. Right now, I am still too sore and very sleepy at weird moments due to healing fatigue, so I am not at my best insofar as pure crystalline thinking is concerned.

Marsandro--

I am a huge alternative medicine type! I already take a B vitamin complex supplement that has plenty of niacin in it, and I also take a trace mineral supplement. I think that's why I am re-calcifying so well.

I am also using some homeopathic stuff for bruising and tendon/muscle strain, and that also seems to be working nicely.

Two of my civilian doctors (non-Navy) said to take up to 4 grams of Vitamin C if my gut would tolerate it, and it has been, so I am taking that spread out into 2 doses of 2 grams each.

The other thing that I will probably do when I am able to drive is to go get some acupuncture done. I can tell from the way the muscles of my right leg feel when I move them in PT that I probably have a lot of small adhesions from all the internal bleeding, and acupuncture can definitely help the pain as the muscles recover.

From a shamanistic perspective, now that I am home I can do things like my overtone singing (to invoke my Guardians and their energy), energy-cleansing with my rattle, and using my singing bowls. I also am charging some of the water I drink with a quartz crystal that has been programmed with healing intentions.

Anyhow, now that I have a bit more energy, I can go get caught up on the DM blog and some of my other anomaly sites. I've missed the latest NASA shenanigans dreadfully, and I also need to type up the Feles Cydoniae stuff for a blog entry here...

Excellent!

The niacin, as you may know,
will improve blood flow to the
healing areas.

The selenium will aid in cell wall repair,
particularly of damaged blood vessels.

It's a little something I've learned as a cardiac
patient, and a student of the healing benefits
of EDTA and other things.

Some low-energy infrasound may also be
helpful with the bone knitting.

Got a subwoofer handy?

Interesting that you are mentioning infrasound, etc., because one of my Guardians has suggested resting one of my singing bowls over the hematoma area and playing it for a few minutes. I am going to try this later tonight.

Fascinating!

How it works, at least in the
case of bones, is simple:

As the fracture zones recalcify, there are
points of contact that are tantamount to a
mesh of sorts.

The presence of a mild low-frequency
vibration increases the meshing, or points
of intimate chemical contact.

You can see this very action in a chemical
solution involving two imiscible liquids, which
promptly mix when subjected to a mechanical
vibration at the right frequency (usually
somewhere in the sonic region).

It's basically "sonic stirring," a simple
demonstration I saw in High School Chemistry.

Isn't science wonderful....

And to think there are doctors who believe
that none of this "new age" stuff works....
(One wonders where THEY were educated.)

Royal Raymond Rife knew better, way back in
1950....

Of course, he was using it to break the DNA
of invading microorganisms.

As doubtless you know, infrasound, sound and
ultrasound can be used to mix (and hence
heal) or break substances at mostly the
molecular level.

One wonders why mainstream sciences such
as medicine don't pay more attention to these
things, especially since they are well known in
other disciplines, and particularly in materials
science.

Case in point, there was a PBS special many
years ago that showed how some "primitive"
workmen could cut the blocks for the Great
Pyramid with specially-made metal tools.

The tool had to be made of the right metal,
cut to the right length, etc., so that it
would "sing" at the right frequency when
tapped with a metal hammer (again, made of
the right metal), and...

The tool could cleanly cut a ten-ton stone
block with one light tap in the right spot.

THAT was shown on PBS...hardly voodoo...
and yet, there are those who still will not
believe....

Yes, there are also stories of Tibetan lamasery musicians being able to levitate things by using sounds from singing bowls and large trumpets that resemble alpenhorns. I know that if a moderate amount of water is placed in some singing bowls and the bowls are then played for a minute or two, it will cause the water in the bowl to 'geyser' briefly in the middle of the bowl-- I have seen this myself.

With regard to Rife, it is interesting to note that the AMA hatchet-man who went after him (and labeled him a quack, etc.) was not even a licensed M.D., if I remember my sources correctly. Also, Antoine Priore's lab in France was supposedly raided by the French government, but I seem to remember reading that the French authorities only went after him after being 'spoken to' by the U.S. And then there's Wilhelm Reich, who did a long prison stint for doing nothing more than developing the orgone accumulator, which I wouldn't exactly call a misdemeanor, let alone a felony...

With regard to my own singing bowls, it turns out that one I bought last summer works perfectly with regard to my injury site. The bowl is different from the others I have in that it has a moderately concave (from the outside) bottom, so it sits right over the hematoma, but it also still makes a clear, sustained tone when the rim is played. My other bowls are too damped by the skin surface of my leg to play properly, and my larger ones are too heavy for my leg to tolerate, so I guess my 'Buddha bowl' (so named for the bas-relief pentad of Buddhas on the inside bottom of the bowl) is the one I am 'supposed' to use. Since one of the five Buddhas depicted is the Medicine Buddha, my use of this particular bowl seems appropriate on more than one level.

Anyhow, I did two 2-minute sessions last night, and I plan to do a good 5 to 10 minute session this evening, as I have figured out a better way to sit while keeping my injured leg properly extended.

It is also interesting that the physical therapist who I am seeing wanted to use some ultrasound on my hematoma, but my insurance would not approve it, so it was a no-go. I was feeling kinda frustrated about that, and then my Guardians stepped in and pointed out to me that I own several nice singing bowls...

Peace,

T'Z
