Crop Circle Season Off To An Incredible Start!

[Image: Olivier Morel, Copyright 2009-- displayed at Crop Circle Connector]

The crop circle season over in England is off to a wild start this year-- there have been no less than eight large and intricate formations in flowering rapeseed (canola) crop so far. Up to this point, canola crop glyphs have been simple, small and few, but the current season has already broken any previous records for size, complexity and number of formations in this particular kind of crop.

The formation shown in the photo was reported on May 4th, and is over 600 feet long. Precision of design and detail in the formations so far this year is amazing, especially considering the brittle, breakable nature of the crop-- canola stems are 'crunchy' and snap off under any kind of mechanical pressure, such as people (supposedly) stomping the crop down with boards, or even simply walking on the already-downed crop as they visit a circle-- the stems in all the formations so far this year show completely smooth bending of the plant stalks, and the crop is laid down in ordered swirls with no breakage. There was also rain the night this formation appeared, but the downed crop is not muddy as it would be if people had stomped the plants flat with boots or boards in the bad weather.

If we are getting early-season glyphs of this magnitude in canola, I cannot wait until the wheat crop is mature enough for the later-season formations-- they are usually even more intricate, and I have no doubt this season will be spectacular!

Have Been Incommunicado...

A big 'sorry' to Marsandro and T'Claw! There's been a bunch of stuff going on with the hit-and-run case (as in evidence collection and phone depositions) and my dear Ms. Paisley passed away last month (at age 14 and 1/2), so things have been kinda crazy. I am also about to revamp the blog a bit, as-- speaking from a shamanic persepective here-- I have been experiencing a recursion of my many-years-latent Owl-energy. The Tiger-streak is still there, and very prominent-- it is my Chinese zodiac-sign after all-- but I am about to ditch some parts of the blog, as the Tigers and Owls are sending me in interesting directions. Also, now that 'Crop Circle Season' is again upon us, and it looks like it is going to be a spectacular year already, I'd like to give that some blog-space. Anyhow, if anyone wants to download any of the Lol-cat pix or the Sekhmet stuff, do so now, as it will be going bye-bye soon...

Beaming A Particular Movie Into Space...???

Now that I can sit for awhile at my computer, I am getting caught up on a bunch of what I like to call my fave 'anomaly sites'. While over at the Exopolitics Blog (www.exopolitics.com) today, I ran across the article I have posted below. (It was posted over at the Exopolitics Blog in December of last year.) While the tone of the original article is, to put it bluntly, 'basic spin-propaganda smart-ass', I am looking right past that to the main question the article begs--

Why would 20th Century Fox do something like this???

It's rather an expensive thing to do for a mere publicity stunt, and (if the smart-ass attitude of the article is taken at face value) a completely pointless thing to do, even as a publicity stunt.

So, again, I'd like to know--

1.) Why did they do this?

2.) Why did they pick this particular movie?

3.) Who actually paid for the space transmission of the movie?

4.) Who exactly is the 'Deep Space Communications Network' mentioned at the end of the article?

5.) What exactly do they do for a living? (I personally find it hard to believe they just sit around beaming selected TV programs, movies and music into space, as the article implies...)

6.) Why does the Space Center in Florida allow a private group to beam stuff like The Day The Earth Stood Still into deep space from the Space Center?

7.) Why does the article itself not answer any of the above questions?

Without further ado, here is the article--

Fox To Beam Day The Earth
Stood Still Into Space
12-10-8

LOS ANGELES Business Wire -- Twentieth Century Fox makes history by transmitting the first motion picture in to deep space, making THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL the world's first galactic motion picture release. The first deliberate deep space transmission of this highly anticipated science fiction thriller will begin this Friday, December 12, 2008, to coincide with the film's opening day on Planet Earth. If any civilizations are currently orbiting Alpha Centauri, they will be able to receive and view the film approximately four years from now in the year 2012.

In a time when global movie launches are now commonplace, Fox is raising the bar by spearheading, with Deep Space Communications Network located at Cape Canaveral, the ultimate in "wide release" platforms. As millions of Earthbound movie fans get their first look at THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL, starring Keanu Reeves and Jennifer Connelly, the film will be zipping through space at 186,000 miles per second to a heretofore untapped possible consumer base orbiting the three star system, Alpha Centauri.

Industry watchers and film historians will note that due to the distance between our solar system and the Alpha Centauri system, it will take over eight years (accounting for a roundtrip communication) to receive any Alpha Centauri reviews. The transmission is not a single beam aimed at just the Alpha Centauri system, but can be received by any advanced technologically capable civilization along the way to Alpha Centauri, and beyond.

Prior to its arrival at Alpha Centauri, the transmission of THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL can be intercepted and viewed at various points in our own solar system (Distance from Earth at the speed of light and transmission time, as follows):

Moon: 0.000000038, 1.1991888 seconds Sun: 0.000016, 8.41536 minutes Mercury: 0.0000095, 4.99662 minutes Venus: 0.00000476, 2.5035696 minutes Mars: 0.0000076, 3.997296 minutes Jupiter: 0.0000666, 35.028936 minutes Saturn: 0.000135, 1.18341 hours Uranus: 0.000285, 2.49831 hours Neptune: 0.00046, 4.03236 hours Pluto: 0.0006183, 5.4200178 hours

"We are thrilled about beaming this film into space. This will be our first full length movie transmission. And what could be more relevant to send into Deep Space than a movie about the Earth's acceptance of visitors from outer space," commented Jim Lewis, Managing Director, Deep Space Communications Network

About DEEP SPACE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK:

Deep Space Communications Network is a private organization located east of Orlando. DSCN was formed specifically to communicate with outer space by a group of broadcast engineers and communications experts who regularly transmit from the space center.

The beam transmitting THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL is by redundant high-powered klystron amplifiers connected by a traveling waveguide to a five meter parabolic dish antenna.

For those folks who visit here who follow Richard Hoagland's work, I have to observe that his stance that certain folks in Hollywood know things that are central to the whole UFO/life on other planets question seems very pertinent here.

Also worth mentioning is that in this instance, the smart-ass tone of the article does not hide anything-- rather, it makes the decision of 20th Century Fox to beam this movie into deep space even more problematic. After all, why bother spending money on a 'publicity stunt' that everyone is just going to laugh at the way the article itself does?

One Tough Tigress...

On December 15th, 2008, I was involved -- as a pedestrian who was struck by a car-- in a hit-and-run automobile accident. I was crossing the street in a marked crosswalk with a green light and 'walk' sign when I was struck by a driver making a left-hand turn.

I saved myself serious injury by jumping onto the hood of the car-- my plan was to ride the hood until the car stopped moving-- but since the driver did not stop and I was unable to find a good enough hand-hold, I wound up rolling off the driver's side fender and into the street. My martial arts and dance training served me well, as I was able to fall and roll properly, but the impact of jumping onto the hood of the car caused a hairline plateau fracture of the right tibia. Since the car was still moving forward as I was rolling off the fender, I also sustained a metatarsal fracture in the left foot.

I also had a lot of internal bleeding in the right lower leg, so I wound up in the hospital for four days and then was in acute care rehab for twelve. I am finally well enough to be back home and to sit at the computer for a short period of time, so I am now able to post to my blog to explain what happened to me.

The story, as nasty as it is, has a good ending. First, I am expected to make a full recovery, although I am still facing a fair chunk of rehab for the muscles in my right lower leg. Second, the guy who hit me has been arrested and booked into the County jail for A) striking me while I was in a marked crosswalk, and B) for leaving the scene of the accident.

Something that is not so good is that the driver of the car who hit me was uninsured, so it looks like my own insurance company will have to cover my costs, but at least they have a person to go after thanks to a good samaritan at the scene who managed to get the license number of the car as it left the scene. There were also several witnesses who provided the police with such detailed information that they were able to effect the arrest of the driver the same day I was hit. My sincere and heartfelt thanks goes out to them.

So long story short, I am back-- very sore and very bruised and walking with cane at the moment, but I am back!

Peace,

Imagine My Surprise...

Every so often, I revisit old stories that seemingly have faded away to nothing, because it is interesting to see if they really did. An old story that I recently decided to 'track back' was the assertion that Richard C. Hoagland made some years ago to the effect that the Old Navy franchise had conspiratorial connections to secret societies with secret agendas. While rummaging around looking for the remnants of both the story itself and the reaction to it, I wound up finding the following bizarre bit of info at the Old Navy website:

Old Navy apparently markets a little long-sleeved t-shirt intended for baby boys (in particular, I might add-- the shirt was nowhere to be seen in the 'clothes for baby girls' section of the site) that goes by the name 'Old Navy Secret Society shirt'. It is currently offered as a sale item (marked down from $10.50 to $6.00), and with the assumption that it will probably not be on offer much longer, I grabbed the pic above and the following info regarding the shirt--

Secret Society Graphic Tees for Baby

Bring baby into the inner circle with our long-sleeve graphic tees. It's always best to be in the know.

#600536

While I have no opinion one way or another about Old Navy, I do find their sale of this shirt in the aftermath of Mr. Hoagland's assertions the weensiest bit odd. I'm sure that most folks will see it as a joke-cum-marketing-ploy designed to take advantage of the Hoagland claim, but I find it interesting that the shirt is being sold as a boys' clothing item in particular. That there is an overly strong sexist (and fetishist) vibe in American fashion retailing is a given, but it seems like weird overkill to extend the 'boys in the know, girls just for show' crap into the infant clothing market.

But then again, the upper echelons and inner circles of most secret organizations are not noted for an egalitarian attitude towards any human being packing a vagina.

At any rate, it was definitely interesting to find Old Navy marketing this little tidbit in the wake of Hoagland's comments, so I thought I'd post it. To quote the shirt, 'You can't dream if you don't sleep'-- I'm assuming that (the secret cabal) 'they' look at (Zeta) Z's as a good thing, meaning that folks ought to be sleeping like fashed toddlers and treating anything said about clandestine groups and their hidden agendas as a simplistic 'fashionista-giggle'. Oh, and of course, they also want you to be sure and buy the shirt for your favorite boy-type rug-rat...

Peace,

Just Because They're Cute... and Endangered...

I have a very hard time understanding how some idiot human men could kill these babies and their mother just so they could drink bogus 'virility-enhancers' like Tiger-Bone wine, which is on a par with the scam of suction-cup breast-enhancement devices for women. I also cannot see any reason to kill these beings so that some egomaniac spiritual poseur can use their skins for a tantric ritual meditation mat. I do not see the torture and death of my totem as a spiritual value; from a shamanic point of view, the pointless deaths of so many vibrant striped spirits is part of the reason why there is so much sexual dysfunction around these days. Killing a tiger is a clear message to the Sentient Cosmos that the chi the tiger embodies is not respected or wanted, and as that reservoir of chi is injured, so too does human chi dry up. Koyanasqaatsi, guys...

Peace,
